Challenges

Decarbonising industrial heat is still far too complex today

Economic barrier illustration

Economic barrier

Current solutions for decarbonising process-heat are too expensive, forcing industries to limit their actions in order to remain profitable.

Technological limitations

While there are deployable solutions for decarbonising low-temperature heat, there is a lack of solutions for temperatures above 200°C.

Regulatory pressure

Between carbon taxes, strict CSR targets and public pressure, the industry is being urged to reduce its massive CO2 emissions without delay.

Solution

Belenos turns industrial heat decarbonisation into a profitable solution

Produce carbon-free, competitive heat with our solar concentration technology

At Radiant, we have developed Belenos, a solution based on unique solar concentration technology that enables manufacturers to decarbonise their high-temperature heat production (from 200°C to over 1000°C) at a competitive price. Belenos is a serious alternative to fossil fuels: more economical, more environmentally friendly, and capable of reaching very high temperatures.

How Belenos works

Belenos is based on a three-stage technological chain.

Illustration Radiant

→ First, our new-generation heliostats track the sun's path and concentrate solar radiation with precision.

Centralized energy system icon

→ Then, the concentrated heat is transferred to our disruptive receiver, the result of 15 years of dedicated R&D, and capable of reaching temperatures above 1,000°C.

Industrial mechanical process icon

→ A thermal storage module allows us to store surplus heat and compensate for the natural intermittency of the sun.

Finally, your process receives the heat it needs, thanks to a plug & play architecture that is very easy to control and designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing installations.

Testimonials

What our customers say about Belenos

“My group is aiming for a 50% reduction in emissions from our industrial processes within 10 years. To date, I have no competitive alternative to replace the gas we use in our furnaces. Radiant, with its Belenos solution, finally allows us to envisage decarbonising our processes across the group.”

About us

Who are we ?

Radiant, an adventure born out of commitment

Founded in 2024 by Thomas and Alexandre, two engineers from the space industry, Radiant was born out of a shared value: combating climate change through technological progress. Their respective backgrounds in solar concentration, advanced materials, aerospace engineering and experience with major players such as DLR, ESA and Air Liquide led them to one certainty: new technologies can – and must – contribute to the fight against climate change. Radiant embodies this conviction by developing Belenos, our solution that enables industry to benefit from carbon-free heat.
